CHL Workshop: "Liberation in Motion: A Performance Art Workshop" - Los Angeles, CA

  • West Los Angeles United States (map)

TeAda Productions is excited to announce CreAtive Healing Lab (CHL) which will take place from October 2025 through June 2026. As part of this series, all-star guest teaching artists will facilitate workshops that combine the arts, social justice, and collective healing. The goal of CHL is to be a sanctuary-third place for community to gather, process current events, imagine sustainable futures, community-build, and heal through sharing space and creating art.

The 5th workshop of the Spring is titled Liberation in Motion: A Performance Art Workshop and will be led by Katherine Bahena-Benitez.

About the workshop: A two-hour immersive workshop exploring performance art as a practice of healing and liberation. Together, we will move through a writing workshop and writing prompts rooted in identity, memory, and freedom, before transforming our words into embodied expressions through movement or spoken word. Participants will be guided to create short pieces that reflect their truths, and we will share our work in community. As witnesses to one another, we will reflect on what we felt and discovered, seeking common ground in the liberating possibilities of art.
